Jarred Privacy Policy

Jarred is a lighthearted app for tracking informal micro-fines between friends, couples, and roommates. We take your privacy seriously even if we don't take ourselves too seriously.
What We Collect
When you create an account we collect:
- Your email address
- A display name you choose
When you use the app we store:
- The jars you create or join
- Rules, fines, and settlements you log
- Timestamps of activity
We do not collect location data, contacts, payment information, or any device identifiers.
How We Use It
Your data is used solely to operate the app - to show you and your jar members your balances, history, and rules. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with any third parties except as described below.
Third Parties
Jarred is built on Supabase, which stores your data securely on our behalf. Supabase acts as a data processor and does not use your data independently. You can read Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.
Apple Sign In
If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive only the information Apple provides - typically an email address (which may be Apple's private relay address) and a unique identifier. We do not receive your Apple ID password or any other Apple account information.
Data Retention
Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your authentication credentials and display name are permanently deleted. Your activity history (fines and settlements) is anonymized and retained to preserve the integrity of shared jar records for other members.
Your Rights
You can:
- Update your display name at any time in the app
- Delete your account at any time via Profile -> Delete Account
- Request full data deletion by contacting us at jon.mark.becker@gmail.com
Children
Jarred is not intended for users under the age of 9.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
